Issue Nº 27 · October 2026
A games magazine you can play.
Shangpai reviews free browser games the old-fashioned way: opened cold, timed, played to the end of a round, then filed under one of ten sections. Everything here is playable in one tap and free forever.

Ten sections, twelve entries each
Every section is a tight dozen — enough to choose from, few enough to finish browsing.
Two small inventions
The Flight
Three entries poured as a tasting set, with a swap for any course you have played.
Pour a FlightThe Chart
A living top-twenty, ranked by reader cheers. One cheer per entry, stored in your browser.
Read the ChartReader questions
Is Shangpai free?
Yes, entirely. Every entry is free to read and free to play, and no entry ever asks for an account or a payment.
Do the games install anything?
No. Every entry runs inside this website, in the browser, on phone, tablet or desktop. Nothing is downloaded to your device.
What is the Chart?
A top-twenty list ranked by reader cheers. Each cheer is stored in your own browser; nothing is sent to us, so the Chart is honest by construction.
What is a Flight?
A tasting set of three entries poured at random. You can swap any course you have played or are not in the mood for, and the rest of the flight stays.
Can my children use it?
Entries marked kid-ok are chosen for gentle content and simple controls, and you can filter the editions list down to kid-ok only.
Why only 120 entries?
Because choice scales badly. Twelve entries per section, ten sections — the whole magazine browses in minutes, and every entry on it was actually played before filing.
